We need to start operating in October or November. When should the order be confirmed so the equipment can arrive and be installed safely?
Work backward from the opening date, not forward from the factory lead time.
A seasonal project should include buffer time after production. Manufacturing is only one part of the schedule; testing, packing, vessel booking, sea transit, customs clearance, inland delivery, installation and local approval can all affect opening day.

Build a backward schedule
Start with the first paid operating day, then reserve time for installation and local acceptance, inland delivery and customs, sea transit, packing and testing, and finally manufacturing.
Why early customization matters
Christmas projects often use special colors, decorative fiberglass, lighting, signage, ticket booths and barriers. Late theme changes can affect production and electrical work more than buyers expect.
Do not plan on zero buffer
Port congestion, weather, document review and vessel changes are outside the factory production schedule. A seasonal attraction loses revenue if it arrives after the event has already opened.
Reserve the production slot
Once the layout and major specification are stable, confirming the production slot early gives both sides more time to finish documentation and shipping planning properly.
